Across the NHS, health workers are being targeted for speaking out for the rights of the Palestinian people, and taking action within their workplaces to challenge British complicity in Israel’s genocide and apartheid.
Now the General Medical Council (GMC), following a complaint from UKLFI, is challenging in the High Court the recent outcome of the Medical Practitioners Tribunal which cleared Dr. Ghassan Abu-Sittah of all allegations after he spoke out against Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Additionally, the government announced on Thursday 4th June that it will accept new recommendations which could escalate the discriminatory attacks on NHS health workers for standing in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
